The rules we work to
Norway's Electronic Communications Act (ekomloven) was updated with effect from 1 January 2025 and now applies the GDPR standard to cookie consent: consent must be active, informed, specific and unambiguous. Pre-ticked boxes, implied consent from continued browsing and browser settings do not qualify. The Norwegian Data Protection Authority issued detailed guidance in April 2025 and has been inspecting sites since.
How consent works here
- Analytics and marketing categories are off by default.
- The scripts that set those cookies are not loaded at all until you allow the category.
- "Reject all" carries the same visual weight as "Accept all".
- Your choice, its timestamp and the policy version are stored locally in your browser.
- We ask again after 12 months, or sooner if this policy changes materially.
- You can change or withdraw consent through the cookie settings link in the footer.

Marketing — off by default
Advertising measurement and relevant advertising elsewhere. This category also enables third-party embeds such as maps, which is why those areas show a placeholder until it is allowed.

Embedded content
Maps and video players are loaded from third parties that may set their own cookies. We do not load them until the marketing category is allowed; you will see a placeholder with a button to open your cookie settings instead.
